Research on the legal protection of wild medicinal resources in grassland areas of China

Traditional Chinese medicine is a brilliant pearl in the developmental history of the Chinese nation, and wild medicinal materials are the foundation for the development of traditional Chinese medicine. Based on the overall system view that includes the habitat (grassland) + biology (wild medicinal resources) + culture (ethnic medical knowledge), this study analyzed the legislative status of wild medicinal material resources in grassland areas in China and found inconsistencies The grassland ecological compensation system does not include the prohibition of hunting wild medicinal materials in its scope. The legal protection of wild medicinal material resources in grassland areas is not connected with regional ethnic autonomy and the construction of national parks. The protection of wild medicinal material genetic resources in grassland areas is insufficient. Therefore, legislation on wild medicinal material resources in grassland areas should be strengthened, the prohibition of hunting wild medicinal materials should be included in the scope of grassland ecological compensation, and the convergence of legislation on wild medicinal resources should be promoted through unified legal concepts. Furthermore, the legal protection of wild medicinal materials and the construction of an ecological civilization in China should be promoted.
