Comparative analysis on production and life mode of herdsman before and after settlement——A case study of Ashili Kazak Nationality Town of Changji City

125 nomadic households in Changji city Ashili Country were investigated,through scientific research methods such as questionnaire, on-site interview and key figure interview. The social benefits of settlement before and after settlement were also comparative analyzed. The results showed that via a more than 20 years’ implementation of nomad settlement project began in 1992, there are radical changes on production and management modes of traditional pasture animal husbandry in Changji city Ashili Country. Besides, children’s education qualifications, medical condition and life quality of herdsmen in this area are significantly improved.
